My heart beats to the rhythm of my life.
The metronome tones of low blows;
And joys that run like tickertape
Through heated veins to tease the soul.
A ticking shield against grief’s reaching hand from darkened hood
That quenches passions heat with tears flood.
My heart beats to the rhythm of my life.
A shifting beat to a dance whose steps
Drift unknown through daily lives.
A never idle step that marks
Slow trickle of sand through
Unobtainable glass. It is life and passion’s call
And fine filigree that fractures with loves pall.
My heart beats to the rhythm of my life.

This is the crooked man and he has crooked teeth,
He lives in twisted alleyways and makes meals of every thief.
His walk is like the profane undead, his breath is like a miser,
If you ask him any questions, you will be quite none the wiser.
He speaks in every language, until they all sound the same,
A confusing malady of tongue and mind that infects all till insane.

He brings a crazed infection.
His step is shaky as his every thought; a polka of the mind,

All is quiet and the gentle kiss of wind is not enough to stir the grains around you, leaving you in a world where even the sound of your breath is loud on the air. For one interminable heartbeat you lay there on the sand unsure whether your eyes are open or closed for no matter how you try the deepest darkness meets your gaze.
It does not last though and the night is fractured by the deepest blue that picks out the horizon, and illuminates the branches of the trees that mark the edge of the river that slowly makes its way pa
In darkness whisper secrets,
Of stories never told.
Share your hopes and share your dreams,
Until your blood runs cold.
In the light I’ll keep them,
In an illusion that is real.
I will mould the world around you,
To erase everything you feel.
Trust me or deceive me,
Either will be my due.
In the end I will be victorious,
In the end I’m you.
